I am so excited to see peaches on sale at Meijer this week. We all love peaches around here.

Here’s a great meal to try this week -

Ginger Pork with Pineapple Mango Sauce

  • Pork loin – $1.59/lb.
  • Replace the mango with peaches – $0.99/lb.
  • If you don’t like pork, the sauce and method would work equally well with the chicken breasts that are on sale for $7.49/64 oz pkg.

Serve the pork or chicken with oven roasted asparagus. Asparagus is on sale for $1.29/lb.

I think Meijer is preparing for us all to have a cheap and yummy Memorial Day weekend. If you haven’t fired up the grill yet, even after last week’s good sales, now is definitely the time.

  • Watermelon ($3.99)
  • Corn on the cob ($0.19 each)
  • Cole Slaw (Dole Cole Slaw Mix – 4/$5)
  • Potato chips (Lay’s – Buy 1, get 1 free)

There are some great deals at Meijer’s this week. You can tell that summer is just around the corner based on all of the grilling meats that are on sale. That is exciting to me!

Or fire up the grill with one of these options:

  • BBQ Chicken breasts (Meijer chicken breasts – $7.99/64oz bag; Open Pit BBQ sauce – 5/$5)
  • Bratwursts (Johnsonville – 2/$5)
  • Pineapple, wedged and grilled about 3 minutes per side ($2.99)
