The winner has been selected in Kraft’s Single Best Town Contest. The honors go to Three Lakes, Wisconsin. You can read all about this fabulous town here. I think it sounds like a wonderful, all-American place to live and raise a family. (Although personally, I don’t think it’s anywhere as nice as our hometown, but I may be a little biased!)
I hope you all enjoyed reading about all the finalist towns. From the comments on the giveaway post, I gather there are many great towns to live in and lots of ways to enjoy a perfect afternoon in all of our respective hometowns.
The winners of the $125 Amex Gift Cards had some great things to say about a perfect afternoon in their hometowns.
Niki, who blogs at Free 2 Be Frugal, said this:
The single best afternoon in my hometown (Gibbstown, NJ) is a lazy summer day. I love to start off the day with some yard sale hunting with my mama (where I just have to buy a cup of lemonade from every kiddie stand I see), then stop for the daily special at the town’s tiny diner. Then we would pick up the kiddos from home and take them to the old farm in town to pick blueberries. Finish off the day making fresh blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream.
Yum!

Our town has a gorgeous town green right in the middle. It is beautiful and it makes for wonderful days… from the flowering dogwoods in the Spring setting off the church steeples, to the summer picnics and people watching, to crunching fall leaves on a stroll to the public library to the annual Christmas carol sing with the high school band in the huge bandstand… it “screams” New England and it’s gorgeous.
Wherever your hometown is, I hope it’s warming up and filled with all the beautiful signs of spring. Enjoy it!
I have partnered with KRAFT Foods to help promote the “Single Best Town” in America program. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program, which includes writing about my own hometown experiences and hosting a giveaway where the prize has been provided by KRAFT Singles. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.
