Some Valentine’s Day Ideas

Okay, I have a confession. Eric and I do not celebrate Valentine’s Day. There’s no real reason for this other than the fact that we couldn’t afford to do anything special the first few years we were together and the habit has just stuck with us. Maybe some year we’ll surprise each other and do something, but I’m not too concerned if we never do. I’d rather have our weekly at-home date nights than a huge, special celebration once a year anyhow.

However, the kids do love Valentine’s Day, so we try to make the day a little special for them. It’s pretty easy to whip up some heart-shaped pancakes or French toast and surprise them with a few fun candies each. Oh…and dessert. There’s always a fun dessert on Valentine’s Day. I’ll post a round-up of some of our favorite desserts later this week.

In the meantime, there are a few great Valentine’s Day resources that I wanted to share with you.

Okay, you might laugh but, this is SO totally something I could see my husband and I doing for Valentine’s dinner.
