How To Use Up That Halloween Candy

Last Updated on

The kids finished trick or treating a few hours ago and I’m shocked at the plethora of candy they collected in just an hour. Add that to the leftover candy we didn’t get to pass out and we are swimming in candy. While I know we’ll all happily eat our way through a lot of that, it doesn’t stop me from thinking of ways I can repurpose some of that candy in the near future.

It’s hard to believe that we’ll get tired of eating candy, but I know we will. So planning ahead a little bit right now will really help down the road. If I plan for the ways I want to use some of that excess candy now, I can set aside (aka hide) the types of candy I’ll need then.

If you’re thinking along those same lines, here are some ideas to help repurpose some of that Halloween candy.

Layered Chocolate Pie Dessert from Amy’s Finer Things

Halloween Candy Bark from Pink Parsley

Snickers Cheesecake from The Other Side of 50

Vanilla Bundt Cake with Halloween Candy Bits from Natalie’s Killer Cuisine

Butterfinger Cupcakes from Annie’s Eats

Some of my previously posted recipes would also be a great way to use up some of that Halloween candy.

Candy Bar Cookies

Peanut Butter M & M Cookies

Brown Sugar Oatmeal Jumbles

What are your favorite ways to use up any leftover Halloween candy? And which candy will you absolutely have no leftovers of? For me, that would be licorice or Payday bars.
