If I throw all the ingredients together and put it in a dish could it be frozen, then thawed and baked? I want to make this for my freezer club and did not know if I would need to make it first as direct, then freeze and reheat. THANKS!

I love this dish. But how do you freeze half of it without ruining the macaroni? When I thaw cooked macaroni, it’s always so mushy.
