I have come to a conclusion – this blog is ridiculously hazardous for my health! Seriously, I dream food. There’s always a new recipe or idea kicking around in my head that eventually makes it onto these pages.
But before it gets posted here, I have to actually make it. Then I have to taste it to make sure it tastes good. Then I have to taste it a second, third and fourth time. Afterall, my readers count on me to only share yummy recipes, right? Wouldn’t I be letting you down if I shared a recipe that wasn’t taste-tested repeatedly?
Case in point…
S’More Topped Brownies
(I used my basic “Ditch-The-Box-And-Never-Look-Back” brownie recipe as the base, but I’m reposting it here for convenience sake.)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. chocolate chips
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1/4 t. baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. broken graham crackers
- 2 T. butter, melted
- 2 c. mini marshmallows
- 1 Hershey bar, broken into individual pieces
1. Heat sugar and butter in a medium pot over low heat until butter is completely melted, stirring often. Remove from heat, stir in 1 1/2 c. chocolate chips until melted, and let cool to room temperature.
2. In a small bowl, briefly whisk the eggs. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of chocolate mixture to the eggs and stir to combine, just to temper the eggs. Then pour all of eggs into the pot with the melted chocolate. Stir to combine.
3. Stir in flour, vanilla and baking soda until well blended. Pour into a greased 13×9 casserole dish.
4. In a small bowl, combine the graham crackers and butter and sprinkle over the brownies. Add the marshmallows and the chocolate pieces.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 22 minutes.

I am salivating!! That looks so yummy and I’m anxious to try out the “ditch the box” brownie recipe. I want to get away from the box mixes myself. I am a self-proclaimed s’mores junkie and often make some microwave s’mores for myself in my own “stolen moments”. I am making this soon!!
Now those look really good, they would go great with the S’more ice cream I seen on another blog.
Check out my blog for a Christmas in July Giveaway.
My screen is all wet from my licking it.
Pleeeease come to my house with that!
Oh yum – this is a “must-make” for us!!
Oh Wow! Those look amazing! Thanks for sharing!

WOOHOO!!!!! Yummo!!! Thanks for sharing your recipe and joining us for the TMTT anniversary today.
I have something similar that was called Heavenly Hash when the recipe was given to me. I think I am trying out your version this weekend when I won’t be tempted to save the whole pan for myself:). Since we prefer dark chocolate, I will be using that. MMMMM. I will be starting Crock Pot Wednesdays in August and would love for you join us. Thanks for sharing.
I agree, blogging is bad for my health too! I find too many recipes like this!! Thanks for the idea, I’m making these for this weekend!
I think my grandchildren will really like this recipe. A must try! Geri
Two of my favorite things combined, I’m definately making these!
This looks SO good! How big of a chocolate bar do you use?
Wow. I can’t decide if I hope to meet this amazing pan of brownies someday…or if I should hope to never cross paths with this dessert – because I’d eat it ALL!
Oh my gosh! I want to go make this now!!
Oh my! So yummy looking! Will have to make these soon!
Yumm!! I can’t wait to try this one…and I have everything except the Hershey bar sitting in my cupboard right now!
Took me ages, but I FINALLY found a brownie recipe that was better than a boxed mix. I love to mess around with it and add fun mix-ins though. This looks AMAZING!!!
I’m no stranger to brownies but a smores newbie. This sounds like the best of both worlds!
Man … I love S’mores!!! These look A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!!
)

Those pictures are too die for, love the flavor combo!
Oh how yummy! I had a s’more type recipe post this week too!
I wonder what size Hersheys bar to use. I went out the night i read this and bought the ingredients. : ) I bought a jumbo size bar so i hope thats right. if not, who’s loss?
Will be making today! Thank you so much for the delicious pictures
I just made this, and it smells wonderful. However, the middle didn’t bake in the 22 minutes. I followed the directions to a T, and am not sure what went wrong. Do you know what may have cause this?
Thanks.
My son Zach tried this recipe today only he added bacon. It was amazing. He wants to be a TV chef one day but I keep telling him he’s too short and the camera won’t see him behind the counter. Are there any other good paying jobs for a kid who loves cooking and is so creative?
I think that there is no reason to compose the essay topic by own efforts! As for me, this will be easier to order the definition essay at the essays online service, because it can save time.
I will recommend not to hold back until you get enough amount of money to order all you need! You should take the home loans or consolidation loans and feel free
These look unbelievably delicious! I can’t wait to try these and your brownie recipe!

Okay so these look amazing! I have a question though, in most smore recipes they use marshmellow creme instead of marshmellows because marshmellows harden after they cool (or so they say). Therefore, how are these brownies after they sit out? Say, the next day? Are the marshmellows hard and not as tasty as when they were hot out of the oven?
THANKS
