Is school out in your neck of the woods yet? We have 4 1/2 more days of school before the kids are officially home for the summer. Honestly, none of us can wait and we are literally counting down the hours!
We are planning a ton of fun things for the summer that will include lots of time outside and many exciting excursions. I’m also planning to spend some one-on-one time with each of the older four kids in the kitchen. I’m working on mapping out some age-appropriate dishes that I can help them master so that they can each have a meal or two they can make on their own. This is something they all really want to do. And needless to say, I’m all for it!
I’ll share my plans for each child and the outcomes as the summer goes on. If you have any age-appropriate dishes that your kids take full responsibility for, I’d love to hear about them.
In the meantime, if you have kids that tend to get bored easily in during summer, my friend Toni has put together a great resource of FREE printable activity cards to help you beat those kind of days. I’ve already printed mine and know they’ll come in handy throughout the next few months.
