Is there a particular kind of marshmallows that are right for this recipe? I was really excited when I came across this recipe, because my husband loves rice krispie treats. I tried it, and the marshmallows would not melt. They softened, stuck together in a big gloop, and then started to caramelise. Rather than stopping (which would probably have been the wisest thing to do), I added the peanut butter and rice krispies. Now I’m eating big lumps of warm, sticky marhmallows with chocolate krispies attached off a fork!

I know two little boys who will think these are wonderful. The only thing better than chocolate is peanut butter and chocolate with a little crunch.
