National Food Bloggers Bake Sale for Share Our Strength

Last Updated on

Last year I was proud and honored to host the Virtual Great American Bake Sale with all of the proceeds going to Share Our Strength. It was exciting to see the blogging community rally together and submit their recipes for such a great cause. I had the best of intentions of doing a second VGABS this year, but with moving on the horizon in the very near future, I was afraid I wouldn’t have the proper time to commit this year.

However, the food blogging community is still rallying for Share Our Strength and their important efforts in ending childhood hunger.

This coming Saturday, April 17, food bloggers from across the nation will be kicking off Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale fundraising season by hosting bake sales in their areas. This effort is being organized by Gaby Dalkin from What’s Gaby Cooking.

There are 27 bake sales being held by food bloggers throughout the US. I strongly encourage you to check out the list of bake sales and stop by one if it’s close to you. Score some delicious goodies and help an excellent cause at the same time!

If there isn’t a bake sale being held in your area, you can still donate directly to Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale online. Or, you can still grab a copy of last year’s VGABS ebook.

I’m sure we all spend a lot of time thinking about food. I know I do! But thankfully, my thoughts of food are not worries over if I’ll have enough to feed my children. No one should have to worry about that. So let’s help Share Our Strength put an end to childhood hunger!
