Funky Monkey Snacks ~ Review & Giveaway

My kids love all kinds of fruit and would happily exist of a fruit-only diet. As a mom, I love that their favorite snacks are healthy. But in the winter months, it gets tough to keep enough variety on hand.

With winter just a few short months away (sadly!), I was excited when I was approached to review Funky Monkey Snacks. I knew this would be something my kids would go crazy over.

Funky Monkey snacks are a really unique snack idea. The fruit is freeze-dried, which means it keeps its fruity flavor and has a fun crispy crunch, without any added flavors or preservatives. This isn’t your ordinary dried fruit. My kids absolutely loved the unique texture and flavor-packed taste.

Funky Monkey Snacks” are freeze dried fruit – all natural, with no added sugar, preservatives, colors or flavors. They are gluten-free, wheat-free and dairy-free. They come in four delicious flavors: Bananamon (banana and cinnamon – a personal favorite of mine), Carnaval Mix (banana, pineapple, apple, papaya and raisins), Jivealime (pineapple and lime juice) and Purple Funk (banana and acai berries). The bright and colorful packaging appeals to children and the healthy choice makes parents feel better.

The kids favorite flavors were Carnaval Mix and Jivealime. The two banana flavors were eaten, but they weren’t stuffed in mouths at a rapid pace to a chorus of oohs and ahhs.

The folks from Funky Monkey Snacks were generous enough to provide 4 extra bags of Funky Monkey Snacks (one of each flavor) for me to giveaway to one lucky reader. If you’d like to try out this fun and healthy snack option, just leave me a comment on this post. I’ll select one winner next Friday, September 18.

Full disclosure – I was sent a bag of each flavor of Funky Monkey Snacks to aid in my review of this product. The above opinions are my honest thoughts and I was not paid to share them with you.

  1. Interesting… I bet my boys will gobble these up lickety split! 🙂 Will you share with us where in the store they can be located? Even if I don’t win I would be interested in trying them. Thanks!!

  2. Those look like a great idea for snacks. I’d love to try them out. Gonna go see if they are available in my area anywhere.

  3. I struggle to get my kids to eat fruit. They will eat almost any veggie — just not fruit! Maybe this snack would help, as it has a different texture.

  4. I just discovered your blog a few weeks ago and am a HUGE fan of what you do here! Thanks for the fun giveaway.
