This is one of my husband’s favorite desserts that I make. The shortbread crust is so buttery and delicious on its own, but when you add jam and a crumble topping, it’s out of this world!
You can definitely swap the strawberry jam for your favorite. And if you have any homemade jam on hand, that is definitely the way to go.
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. strawberry jam, or whatever kind you prefer
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. oats
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 t. cinnamon
- 6 T. butter
- 1/2 c. chocolate chips
1. Comine 1 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 c. sugar and 1/2 c. butter in a bowl. Mix or cut in the butter until crumbly. Press into a greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
2. While cooking, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and butter until crumbly. Set aside.
3. Remove pan from oven and gently spread jam on top. Cover with crumb mixture and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake for 15 minutes more.

This recipe looks yummy. I am making something like those today except mine our called raspberry cheesecake bars.
These look great! I’m hoping to make some for mother’s day.
I tried your recipe yesterday, but I used guava jam instead. LOVED it!! Thanks for sharing your recipes online!
