My husband loves malt. He is the kind of guy who orders a chocolate malt with extra malt. Every once in a while, he likes to make malts at home too. So when I was trying to think of a good cookie to make today, I spotted the jar of chocolate malt powder in our pantry. My wheels started turning and I thought I’d give it a shot and see if I could make chocolate malt cookies.
They turned out so good. I’ll be the first to admit that they look a little unassuming and plain, but trust, these are no ordinary cookies. They’re like Whoppers in cookie form. And speaking of Whoppers, if I’d had some on hand, I definitely would have added about a cup of crushed ones to the batter. But that is not at all needed to get the full flavor.
Chocolate Malt Cookies

- 2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. chocolate malt powder
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/4 t. salt
1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter or margarine and sugars until fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat another minute.
2. In a small bowl, add the flour, malt powder, baking soda and salt. Stir to combine. Add slowly to the mixing bowl and mix just until incorporated.
3. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes.

I’ve made these yummy cookies twice, but mine look way flatter and crispy than yours, which doesn’t make them any less delicious. But I’d really like them to be a bit more plump and chewy. Any suggestions?
That is known that cash can make people autonomous. But what to do when someone doesn’t have money? The one way only is to receive the personal loans and commercial loan.
I just made these cookies and they are amazing. I followed the whole recipe except I could not find chocolate malt powder so i used malted milk powder and a little bit of coco powder and it turned out beautifully. I also topped the cookie with a chocolate buttercream and a couple whoppers. I recommend this recipe you should give it a try.
Hey me again I would also like to say… I took these to my middle school and everyone actually thought that i bought them they were so good. And everyone kept asking me for the recipe. Kind of funny huh. Well hope this helps.
Ladies! We have 21st century and you are still bakeing cookies for your husbands? All those boys in grown-up man bodies who never actually grew out of their chocolate –malt cookies and need their wife –mummies to spoon feed them…Give me a break!
What I’m so confused??
Look just because someones wife bakes them cookies it doesn’t make them a slave some people enjoy cooking. Also just because you like cookies it doesn’t make you seven get a life Anna
