My husband and I have had a long-standing Tuesday night date-night-at-home tradition. As a result, it’s our favorite night of the week and probably one of our oldest traditions. Our usual Tuesday routine is to eat a special dinner after the kids go to bed while we watch the latest episode of 24 on Hulu.
Every once and a while though, we like to do something really special. Sometimes that means we order carry-out from our favorite restaurant or we eat a fancy dessert. Sometimes we forego the 24 watching and spend the night just talking.
So when I was approached by Bertolli with the opportunity to recreate our own Italian Carnevale Celebration in our house, I knew it would make an awesome Tuesday night for us. And I was so right! We definitely just created a tradition that will be repeated frequently in the future.
For dinner, we dined on Bertolli’s Roasted Chicken Cannelloni and Italian Sausage & Rigatoni.
We both thoroughly enjoyed each dish and we couldn’t pick a favorite from the two. Our plates were definitely cleaned though!
Dinner was followed with two amazing, freshly made espressos and a big bowl of homemade vanilla ice cream. (Gelato would have been the optimum route to go to really set the scene, but since this was my first time ever making ice cream from scratch, I decided to take the safe route.)
